| Leipzig May Finally perform in Champions League |
UEFA eventually allow RB Leipzig and League champions Austria, RB Salzburg appeared in the Champions League 2017-2018. The decision was issued after discussions with UEFA Financial Investigator Agency (CFCB).
Previously, RB Leipzig threatened failed to perform in the Champions League for allegedly being under the same owners with League champions Red Bull Salzburg, Austria. UEFA banned the two CF owned one company compete in the same competition in order not to conflict of interest.
However, after investigations, CFCB RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg was not owned by the same company. It makes both of them has the right to perform in the Champions League next season.
However, it is not thus making the position of Leipzig da Salzburg is safe. Because, the two clubs were still in the supervision of CFCB in order ensure there is no conflict of interest.
"After doing invetigasi, CFCB found that Red Bull Salzburg and RB Leipzig has changed their structure so that it is not owned by the same company. However, CFCB will continue to oversee both the CF for the sake of making sure they keep their integrity, "wrote UEFA.
The UEFA decision would certainly be good news for the Board of Directors and supporters of RB Leipzig. They considered such matters as solace after failing to win the Champions League 2016-2017.
